Jeanette Brakewell

Jeanette Brakewell, born 4 February 1974, has been riding since the age of four and is a competitive professional Event Rider. She was a member of both the British silver medal team at the Athens Olympics of 2004, and the silver medal team in the same event at the Summer Olympics in Sydney 2000 riding her top horse, Over to You.

With Over to You Brakewell was for several years a regular member of the British three day eventing team. Arguably her best achievement to date was in winning the individual silver medal on this horse at the 2002 FEI World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, 2002 and a team bronze medal at the same event. With this horse she was a team gold medallist on four occasions at the European Eventing Championships (1999, 2001, 2003, 2005). Over to You was retired from four star level eventing in 2007. He still competes in lower levels following his career in which, besides competing at the Olympics, he completed Badminton Horse Trials a record seven times.

Nicola Wilson nee Tweddle

Nicola Wilson has been one of the most consistent performers at four-star level in recent years with the super jumper Opposition Buzz. She made her British senior squad debut at the 2009 European Championships in Fontainebleau, and proved a great trailblazer, going on to finish ninth individually and taking team gold.

She first rode for Britain internationally at the 1997 young rider Europeans, as an individual on Mr Bumble, and a year later finished 10th at Burghley on the same horse.
Her next eye-catching four-star results were with Skiver, with whom she was ninth at Luhmuhlen in 2005, earning a reserve listing for that year's European Championships.
Her partnership with Rosemary Search's Opposition Buzz took off when they were 16th at Badminton in 2007 and they followed that with 15th at Burghley, 12th at Badminton 2008 — which gave them another reserve slot, this time for the Hong Kong Olympics — and fifth at Burghley that autumn. Nicola clinched her spot on the British squad with 11th place at Kentucky in April 2009.

Amy Young

Durham based event rider Amy may only be 23 but she already has a long list of successes to her credit and is in a great position to give many more seasoned eventers a run for their money. Having recently set up a yard at home, she has a dedicated back up team (her family) to help her achieve her ambitions of a four star victory and representing her country at senior level.

With the help of her top horse, Highville (or Bobby as he is known at home), she won both the under 18 and under 21 National titles and then went on to claim both team and individual Gold Medals at the 2006 Young Riders European Championship at Pardubice, in less than perfect weather conditions. In 2007 she rode as the ‘guinea pig’ dressage rider at Badminton and jetted off to Hong Kong to try out the Olympic track in the test event there, as well as being Eventing magazine’s diarist for the season.

This year, Amy started the season with a 5th in the Futurity class at Belton, two top ten placings at Central Scotland’s CIC**, and a fantastic 2nd in the under 25 CCI** at Tattersalls, Ireland. She has also been selected by The British Equestrian Federation as a Member of the Regional Foundation Squad, which offers help and support to talented riders.

Louise Lyons BHSII, BSC (Hons)

Louise Lyons a successful international event rider who has competed at The European Championships 2007 and The Beijing Olympics 2008 representing Ireland. She is a qualified instructor who has run a busy event and competition yard for the last 10 years.

Charlotte Castle

The Lincolnshire based rider worked for Jeanette Brakewell and Brook Staples for two years and is now based at her parents house where she has four eventers and five liveries. The 13 yr old The Cointreau Challenge is the star! He was bought from Ireland’s Sasha Pemble and they were seventh at the 2007 young rider European Championships at Blair. In 2008 they completed their first four star at Pau, France. She competed at Badminton in 2009 and finished….

Izzy Taylor

Izzy has been riding for as long as she can remember. Yet, her progression to professional level was not all plane sailing.
During a year spent training in Holland she fractured a couple of vertebrae at an event and was lucky to make a full recovery which enabled her to continue riding.
Having represented England at Under 21 level, winning both a team silver and an individual bronze medal, Izzy is riding at the Blenheim Horse Trials 2009 for the first time. Blenheim is only one step down from the highest competitive level and she will be riding two horses during the event.

Lottie Prentice

Lottie Prentice is an International three-day event rider and former British Young Rider team member competing at the highest level. She has trained her horses to top level and has had them since they were three and four year olds.

Lottie is also a popular riding instructor with an extensive client list ranging from beginners through to advanced level.

Laura Keeley

Laura Keeley is a young rider, at only 18 & based in South Lincolnshire. She is currently competing in British Eventing competitions and  in 2010 completed Tattersalls CCIJ.

Megan Lewis

Megan Lewis is on an 8,000 kilometre horse ride from Beijing to London. After the culmination of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she set out on what is to be a four year trek, arriving in London in time for the 2012 Olympics.

The ride is designed to carry a goodwill message from Beijing to London, as well as raise funds for disadvantaged children through the work of Schoolchildren for Children.
